Music for healing


Vedu's Electronics, No. 2A, Wallers Road, Anna Salai (Ph: 52149066) has released CDs with music for mental therapy. Each CD costs Rs. 150. A holistic approach to relaxation through Indian music, says the cover.

Dr. Harre Harren, music therapist and music healer has fashioned the content.

The music is composed in medium pace with rhythmic instruments like the mridangam and the tabla. The ragas have been played in Indian traditional instruments. The music is aimed as a relief for specific ailments, physical such as headache, back pain, etc. and mental including tension.

There is music to accompany yoga exercises. Pleasant and soothing the CDs, Dr. Harren recommends, should be played in a calm atmosphere for best results.
