New Balaji temple
NEW CONCEPT: The seven-feet-high idol of Sri Lakshmi Balaji with Lakshmi occupying the lower half.
A new temple for Sri Venkatachalapathy has come up at Kamakotinagar, Pallikaranai, (opposite Balaji Dental College/Jerusalem College) on the Velachery-Tambaram Main Road. Consecration will take place today 6-7.30 a.m.
A special feature of this temple, built by Sri Lakshmi Balaji Temple Trust, is the main deity, seven feet in height, called Sri Lakshmi Balaji, has the idol of Lakshmi in the lower half.
Nithya Parayana and sevas are proposed to be held and the Trust plans to conduct Vedic classes later on.
