Vedic heritage classes

Sruti Vidyalaya, 1, Anna Avenue, Bhaktavatsalam Nagar, Adyar, (Ph: 2441 0389), imparts value-based education from texts predominantly based on our Vedic heritage, every Sunday (8 a.m. to 9.15 a.m.) for children in the age group of eight to 15. Those interested may contact Sruti Vidyalaya on working days between 10.30 a.m. and 7.30 p.m.

Concert at temple

The Temple of Shirdi Saibaba on Lakshmi Street, Thirumangalam Road, Vilivakkam (behind Nathamuni Theatre) will be the venue for the first Temple Concert organised by Shi-ba Sangeetha Sabha (Ph: 2618 0611; 94440 10215). Maharajapuram S. Ganesh Viswanathan will present the inaugural concert with Satish Kumar on the violin and Thanjavur Kumar on the mridangam, on July 23 (6.45 p.m.).
