Stargazing
Sada joins big league
Post Aparichithudu, Sada has been catapulted into the big league. The Mumbai mulgi is making it big down South. She is cast opposite Balakrishna in a film for P.B. Arts, which is nearing completion. Young debutant producer Nallamalupu Srinivas signed her to play the lead with Venkatesh for his banner Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Films. V.V. Vinayak who has given hits like Tagore and Bunny is wielding the megaphone for this film.
Another ambitious project for Aswini
With hit films like Jagadeka Veerudu Atiloka Sundari, Choodalani Vundi and Indra in the recent past to boast about, the Vyjayanthi Movies banner has come to be associated with some great movies in Telugu cinema - having produced 50 films in the last 30 years. Perhaps trying to repeat these successes, especially with Chiranjeevi, C. Aswini Dutt has embarked on an ambitious project called Jai Chiranjeeva for which the unit has completed a month-long schedule in the U.S. canning the picturisation of two songs and some important sequences. A huge set is erected at Annapurna Studios on seven acres and a major part of the shooting is getting done here. Manisarma composed the music for the film. Trivikram Srinivas is credited with story and dialogues. Vijaya Bhaskar is directing the movie.
Srikant, Sneha team up again
It is the unwritten code of the film industry if a pair proves to be a lucky combination, repeat it. In Bapu's Radha Gopalam, Srikant and Sneha essayed their roles with aplomb. So, Sri Ram Arts has paired them again for their maiden venture being directed by E. Satti Babu. Sneha plays an ambitious girl in the movie. Srikant plays a role of a guy who stands by her through thick and thin. The shooting for the film is being carried on at a brisk pace in some picturesque locations in the city.
Trivikram directs Mahesh Babu
It is the scriptwriter who first visualises the movie on paper. So the writer has an added advantage when s/he finds a chance to translate it on the celluloid. Noted scriptwriter Trivikram Srinivas is wielding the megaphone for his second directorial venture titled Athadu, jointly produced by D. Kishore and M. Ram Mohan. Mahesh Babu and Trisha are cast in the lead roles. Trivikram turned director with Nuvve-Nuvve. The audio of the film, scheduled for an August 12 release, is already making waves.
