RKM festival
Ramakrishna Mission Students' Home, Mylapore, is celebrating Navarathri from October 3 to 12. Swami Gokulanandaji Maharaj will inaugurate the festival. The function will be followed by a violin recital by Kunnakkudi Vaidyanathan. Concerts on all the days will take place 6-8.30 p.m. Rama Krishnamurthy will present Abhirami Antadi, discourse on all days 7.30-9 a.m.

Suswara School of Music presents a vocal concert by the disciples of Sudha Raja at Apparsamy Koil, 6.30 p.m. on Friday.

Brahmotsavam
Sri Prasanna Venkatesa Bakthajana Sabha, Padur-606 115, Ulundurpet Taluk, Villupuram District, Ph: 04149-209633(Padur); 2248 5513 (Chennai) will celebrate Brahmotsavam from October 2 to 14. The golden Garuda Sevai will take place on October 7.
Garuda Sevai
The annual festival of Vedanta Desikar will be celebrated at Sri Vedanta Desikar Temple, Mylapore, (Ph: 2495 3799) from October 3 to 12. Garuda Sevai for Srinivasa perumal will be on Oct. 5, car festival on 11 and Saathumurai on 12.
Anniversary
The Vishwa Varakari Parivar is celebrating its first anniversary on October 1 and 2 at 43, 6th Street, Venkateshwara Nagar, Kottivakkam. Lectures, memory games, music and dance recitals have been planned for the occasion. Ragunath, son of famous Sri Tukaram Ganapathy Maharaj (Marathi Abhang Hari Katha exponent) will conduct Harikirthan.
