Abhang sammelan
Shree Vittal Bhajan Mandali, Chennai, is conducting the sixth Abhanga Namasankeerthana Sammelan at the Rukumayee Sameda pandurangar Sannadhi, at Karpaga Vinayagar Temple complex, Shanthi Nagar, Adambakkam for three days, January 27-29.
The programme is to be inaugurated by Poojyashri Muralidhara Swamiji at 7 a.m. on Jan. 27, followed by his namasankeerthanam. Many leading bagavathars are participating and rendering sampradaya/abhanga namasankerthanams on all days.
The highlights of the festival are the Varkari sampradhaya Abhanga bhajan/discourse by Kadayanallur Shri Tukaram Ganapathi maharaj and Rukmini Kalyanam following the traditional Bagavatha paddhathi performed by Thanjavur Sri Tyagaraja Bagavathar.
The function concludes on Jan. 29 with a procession of Utsava moorthy, followed by a nagara sankeerthanam of devotees and Sri Anjaneya utsavam.
The Mandali, as in the past, arranges Annadhanam to all devotees attending the function on all the three days, which is financially met by the donations from well wishers.
