The season is replete with Thyagaraja Aradhana functions, and music lovers are enjoying every bit of the melodious best that it is offered. Renowned ghazal and bhajan singer Sharad Gupta enthralled the audience at a bhajan programme organised by Ramakrishna Math, Domalguda, to commemorate the birthday celebrations of Swami Vivekananda on January 21.

Sharad, a disciple of Anup Jalota, was as appealing as his guru in his renditions yet maintained his individual style. The programme, which started at 9 a.m. saw a packed auditorium.

Sharad sang devotional songs like Yeh Prabhu Mere, Itna To Karna Saami and Mere Man Me Ram, which are Jalota's favourites and switched over to Hari Om Sharan's favourites like Jayanand Lala and Maili Chaddar.
