Young talent on the tabla

Rimpa Siva

Tabla is her forte. Rimpa Siva played with it instead of dolls from the time she was three years old. Rimpa was born into a family, which has a musical legacy. She has been taking lessons from her father and guru Prof. Swapan Siva, disciple of Kermatullah Khan of Farukhabad gharana. She is a student of Rabindra Bharati University. Rimpa has proved her mettle at several conferences in India and abroad.

Amir Khusro Sangeet Academy (ph: 24811377, mobile: 984012167) presents Rimpa Siva on February 24, 4 p.m. at Presidency College.
