MNS workers forcibly stop screening of Bhojpuri film
Pune (PTI): The anti-North Indian stand of Raj Thackeray-led Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) had its fall-out here on wednesday when the party activists forcibly stopped the screening of a Bhojpuri movie in a city theatre.
The afternoon show of the film titled `Bhojpuri Bhayya' was cut short and audience hurried out of the Srinath cinema hall after the MNS workers asked the management to stop the screening.
Police arrived on the scene after the MNS activists left the theatre.
The theatre management, which had been advised by police to cancel the show in view of the attacks on north Indians in Mumbai, had ignored the warning, sources said.
