  • Amarnath land transfer row not a partisan issue: Govt.

    New Delhi (PTI): The government on wednesday said the Amarnath land transfer row was not a partsian issue and expressed the hope that political parties to take a constructive approach to solving the crisis.

    "I do feel that this is a serious matter and not a partisan issue. I hope that political parties take constructive approach to solve the crisis," External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee told reporters here.

    Mukherjee was speaking after addressing Congress spokespersons during a party orientation programme for them on the nuclear deal issue.

    Mukherjee said larger national interests are involved in the issue. Regarding the doubts over the outcome of the meeting, he said " I cannot predict the outcome of the meeting."
