Cong. makes light of BJP charge

New Delhi (PTI): Congress has dismissed BJP's charge that Manmohan Singh was a weak Prime Minister in the wake of the nuke deal row and said any "patriot will become emotional and sentimental when the country's credibility and prestige is in jeopardy".

AICC Media Department Chairman Veerappa Moily also said that Congress was not for mid-term polls and wanted to fulfil its agenda in a full five term. He insisted that the first phase of the nuclear issue was over as the deal has been struck and the second phase is that of operationalisation.

"The credibility of the country and not only that of the Prime Minister is at stake... The country has a big stake... cannot afford to jeopardise country's standing. International deals have their own sanctity," he told reporters.
