Online portal for pet animals launched

Petsnpets.com - a subsidiary of India based Taiyo Group, largest dealer of pet related products, has launched its online portal for animal lovers thriving to find best products for their pets with proper directions and information in India.
The website will include pet care information about pets like dogs, fish, birds, cats and other small animals like turtles, rabbits, guinea pigs etc. The consumers can find pet care products and buy them online.
"Our website have information of over 400 pet care products. We have also roped in veterinary doctors to give pet care advice to pet lovers. They can also share their knowledge with others through blogs and forums, which is a unique feature of this website," said A L Senthil Kumar, CEO of the website.
The group has collaborated with multi-national banks for online payment.
"We have collaborated with banks like ICICI, HDFC and Centurion bank to provide best services to our customers. Also steps have been taken to keep customers credit card details confidential," R S Prabakar, founder and director of the website said.
The group will also keep members of the site updated through SMSes and process of all the developments related to their product delivery.
The website will soon have celebrity interviews sharing information on how they care for their pets.
"We are in touch with number of celebrities to write for our website," said Prabakar.
Product range starts from Rs 45 and all of them will have 18-months warranty and there is provision of free home delivery for all purchases above Rs 300, he added.
The Taiyo group is manufacturing the products in collaboration with international pet products makers Hitachi, Atman, Petslife and Toto. Products are also being imported from countries like China, Malaysia and other European countries to provide best products to consumers.
According to Euromonitor International report, an international pet care watchdog, the overall growth of Indian pet food and pet care products was less than that of China in last 10 years.
It is estimated that India will achieve an aggregate growth rate of 11 per cent between 2007 and 2012, compared with a figure of 8.6 per cent in China in this sector.
