Peace talks 'impossible' in face of Lankan offensive: Tigers
Colombo (AP): The head of the Tamil Tigers' political wing says peace talks with Sri Lanka are impossible while the government wages a military offensive against the rebel group.
Balasingham Nadesan told The Associated Press on Monday that the guerrilla group does not consider the military attacks a threat. But he says the group will not sit down for new talks to end the 25-year civil war in Sri Lanka while the fighting continues.
