    Peace march taken out at Dabwali

    Sirsa (PTI): In order to intensify efforts to maintain peace and communal harmony in Dabwali, which witnessed violence on July 18 during Naam Charcha at residence of a Dera Followers, a peace march was taken out at Mandi Dabwali on Saturday.

    Hundreds of people belonging to all sections of society including political and social activists and students participated in the peace march and appealed people belonging to Sikh organisation and Dera Followers to maintain peace and harmony during the Bhog Ceremony of Mandar Singh who was killed during Sikh-Dera Followers clashes.

    Meanwhile, in view of improved situation in Dabwali town which gradually limped back to normal since Friday evening the district authorities gave more relaxation in the curfew and for the first time on Saturday since it was imposed, the curfew was relaxed for 24 hours.
