President to arrive in Mumbai on Monday
Mumbai (PTI): After cutting short her visit to Indonesia, President Pratibha Patil will arrive on a two-day visit to this terror-hit city Monday evening during which she would meet the families of slain police officers.
Patil will visit the J. J. Hospital in Mumbai to enquire about the condition of those injured in the terror attacks, officials sources said.
She will also visit the Oberoi/Trident and Taj Mahal hotels besides Nariman House, the site of the terror attacks.
Besides, Patil will meet Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh, Deputy Chief Minister R R Patil and senior police officers, the sources said.
Before returning to Delhi, the President is likely to visit the residences of ATS chief Hemant Karkare and encounter specialist Vijay Salaskar, who were killed by militants on Wednesday.
Patil was earlier scheduled to return on December three from her two-nation tour of Vietnam and Indonesia.
