Law should take its own course: Congress on Varun

New Delhi (PTI): With the BJP candidate Varun Gandhi likely to court arrest in Pilibhit on Saturday, the Congress on Friday said that the law and judicial process should take its own course.

"The law and judicial process should take its own course," party spokesman Anand Sharma told reporters here. Asked why was the government slow in acting against Mr. Varun, Mr. Sharma said the question should be addressed to the UP government.

Mr. Varun on Friday withdrew his bail plea from the Delhi High Court in connection with the complaint against him for making communal speeches during the election campaign.
