    Bandh cripples life in Kokrajhar

Kokrajhar (Assam) (PTI): A bandh called by members of the Adivasi and six other communities on Sunday crippled life in Assam's Kokrajhar district.

The 36-hour bandh called to protest against the holding of panchayat election, which began from five am today, hit normal life with vehicles remaining off the road on national highway 31 and shops and business establishments remaining closed, official sources said.

Meanwhile, two Adivasi National Liberation Army militants were arrested at Gossaigaon area of the district on Sunday.

One nine MM pistol has been recovered from them.
