Goa police looking for two who assaulted Finnish woman
Panaji (PTI): Police are looking for two brothers who are absconding after allegedly threatening a woman from Finland in South Goa.
"A case in this regard was registered last week and both the accused are on the run, Police stated.
Agidi Marie, who is married to an Indian from Jharkhand, was allegedly threatened and warned of dire consequences by Thomas and Remedios Fernandes at a shack on Utorda beach.
Police said Marie's husband manages a shack and the brothers had picked up a fight with him. When Marie, who is in her mid-20s, intervened in the matter, she was threatened by the duo.
Police are investigating the case and are on the look out for the accused who reside at Majorda village.
In another incident involving a foreigner and reported on January seven, one Samson D'costa from South Goa was arrested for allegedly assaulting two British women.
The tourist state has reported two cases of molestation and rape involving foreign women last week.
In the first case, a Russian was molested on Monday night while a British lady was assaulted and raped on Friday on the city's outskirts by an unidentifed man.
