Open dance school in Kullu: HP govt. tells Hema Malini

Shimla (PTI): The Himachal Pradesh government has suggested to Bollywood star Hema Malini to open her dance school in Kullu, Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal said on Sunday.

The state government would provide all help to Malini in her project, Dhumal said, presiding over the birth centenary celebrations of Devika Rani Roerich at Naggar in Kullu.

He said renowned Punjabi singer Hans Raj Hans has also made a request to set up a vocal music traning school here, which has been welcomed by the state government.

He said the state would welcome Russian participation in art, culture, tourism and hydro-power sectors and urged Russian Ambassador V I Trukinikov to be the ambassador of the state for promotion of cultural and tourism activities.

Trukinikov said the birth centenary of Devika Rani, wife of eminent painter Sevetrolar Roerich, who had settled in Naggar in Kullu valley, was also celebrated at Bangalore and Russia.
