    IPL, INS reach accord

    Mumbai (PTI): Stringent controversial conditions for media accrediation for coverage of the Indian Premier League tournament have been dropped under an agreement between the media and the IPL except the one relating to news agencies giving match pictures to cricket-dedicated websites.

    The agreement was reached Tuesday after discussions between the IPL Commissioner Lalit Modi and Hormusji N Cama of the Indian Newspaper Society (INS).

    Modi said in a press release that he was glad that the debate about the media accreditation terms and conditions had been resolved to the satisifaction of the INS. He thanked Cama and all the members of the INS team for resolving the issue through constructive dialogue.
