New Delhi (PTI): The Central Election Committee (CEC) of BJP will meet hereon Saturday to decide the Second list of the party's Lok Sabha candidates.

"The CEC is meeting here tomorrow followed by the meeting of Election Management Committee. Some seats may be finalised," party spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad told reporters here on Friday.

As per sources, the party is expected to declare some "sure shot" candidates from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar tomorrow among others.

The last minute meeting with the Uttar Pradesh and Bihar state leaders were held under the leadership of party leaders Arun Jaitley and Venkaiah Naidu respectively for the last two days to finalise the name. All eyes are on the Lucknow seat where the party is to announce a candidate to replace former Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee.

The CEC meeting earlier scheduled to be held on Friday was postponed forSaturday owing to the engagement of the top leaders in the week-long rallies on Amarnath land row. However, the party cancelled the rallies owing to the Left parties pull out from the government.
