BJP indulged in large scale business in MP: Digvijay Singh
Jabalpur (PTI): Accusing BJP government in Madhya Pradesh neck deep in corruption, Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh on Tuesday said that during the last five years BJP did not run a government but indulged in large-scale business.
"Under the BJP government, ministers have become billionaires and their peons millionaires," he said at an election meeting last evening in Jabalpur north assembly constituency.
Singh said former health minister Ajay Bishnoi was removed from the cabinet on charges of corruption but he was again given the ticket so that he can indulge in more corruption.
Singh said that before December 2003 assembly elections, Uma Bharti had charged him with misusing Rs 15,000 crore but now the same Uma Bharti was saying that his rule was good while chief minister Shivraj Singh was looting people.
Accusing BJP government of misleading people, he said that work on the Bansagar, Indira Sagar and Birsinghpur power projects began during the Congress regime.
Describing BJP as the enemy of the poor, the Congress general secretary said that the BJP government was responsible to finish one-point electricity connections.
