Kolkata (PTI): The BJP on Tuesday hailed the landslide victory of Sheikh Hasina's Awami League-led alliance in Bangladesh and said that her victory would considerably improve relations between New Delhi and Dhaka.

"Congratulations to Sheikh Hasina for her landslide victory. She has a deep link with India and I hope that our relations will progress," senior BJP leader Yashwant Sinha told reporters here on the sidelines of an interaction at the Bharat Chamber of Commerce.

He also hoped that Hasina's regime would ensure that Bangladeshi territory would not be used for anti-India activities.
