Landslide kills 3 people in northern Vietnam
HANOI (AP): A landslide killed three quarry workers as the loaded trucks in northern Vietnam, police said Saturday.
The three bodies were pulled from the rubble Friday in Kim Bang district in Ha Nam province, said police officer Phan Thanh Khiet.
Heavy rain over the last few days may have weakened the rocks and caused them to slide down the mountain, he said.
Twenty-five workers were killed by a rock slide in two separate accidents in central Vietnam last month.
Ha Nam is 60 kilometers (38 miles) south of Hanoi.
