SEOUL (AP): Officials have confirmed that a recent bird flu outbreak in South Korea was caused by the deadly H5N1 strain of the virus.
The Agriculture Ministry said on Thursday that government tests have confirmed the H5N1 strain infected chickens on a farm in Gimje, about 260 km south of Seoul.
