Kolkata, March 27 (PTI): An Ananda Marg organisation today offered to adopt children who lost their parents in the recent violence at Nandigram in West Bengal.

The organisation, Ananda Marg Universal Relief Team, said in a release: "A direction in this regard has already been given to the concerned authority at Keraritola, Medinipur (Ananda Marga Children's Home) to do the needful."

It said it distributed relief materials among 200 affected people of Sonachura and Bhangaberia in Nandigram yesterday.

AMURT also performed a 'shraddh' ceremony yesterday for those who lost their lives in police firing in Nandigram on March 14.
