Chennai, May 13. (PTI): The recommendations of the National Knowledge Commission on the knowledge paradigm have to be executed to bridge the gap between the educated and uneducated, Sam Pitroda, Chairman of the commission said on Saturday.

Inaugurating the international seminar here on "Delearn to Relearn-Redefining the Architecture of Education" through a video conference, Pitroda said the commission had submitted before the Government its 'Report to the Nation' in January this year.

The recommendations of the commission have to be executed, he said adding there were a huge gap between the haves and have-nots, the educated and the uneducated people in the country.

The recommendations have not received much attention from various quarters, he added.

Pitroda also said, there was resistance from both within and outside the education system to new ideas.

There was very little research being done in the Universities of the country. "It needs to be changed", he said.
