    TN: Major pirated CD recording unit busted

    Chennai, May 20 (PTI): Acting on a tip off from a consortium of music companies, city police have busted a major pirated CD recording unit in the city.

    A press release from The Indian Music Industry (IMI), a consortium of over 75 music companies, said here that the police raided a residential unit at Mannadi and seized 28 CD writers, 150 Mp3 CDs, 50 blank CD's and 100 pirated DVD's.

    The owner of the unit has been arrested and remanded to 15 days' judicial custody.
