Bangalore, July. 1 (PTI): A six-year-old boy died after he accidentally fell from the fourth floor of a leading shopping mall here today, a senior police official said.

Aahan Bhandari who had gone with his parents to watch a movie at Inox multiplex in the crowded Garuda Mall here, accidentally tripped when he tried to climb the parapet grill of the fourth floor, Deputy Commissioner of Police, B S N Reddy told PTI.

The boy who was rushed to a nearby private hospital, remained unconscious for about two hours before he breathed his last, Reddy said.

Asked whether a case was being filed against the owner of the mall for not taking adequate safety precautions, Reddy said "we are examining it and if required we will initiate stringent action".
