    Croatia -- Bollywood's next destination?

Chandigarh, July. 2 (PTI): Croatia may emerge as Bollywood's next destination with legendary actor-director Dev Anand all set to shoot his next film in the tiny country beginning August this year.

Dev Anand visited Croatia last year and was fascinated by its beauty, Boris Suran, First Secretary in the Croatian embassy in New Delhi, told a news conference here.

He would start shooting of his English film "When Heart Beats Are The Same" in August, Suran said.

Film-maker N Chandra was also likely to shoot his next venture "Breaking News" in Croatia, a small country with a population of 46 lakhs.

"We are offering various concessions to Bollywood film-makers if they come and shoot in our country," he said.

Suran said Croatia was keen to further develop its ties with India to boost tourism, a key contributor to the GDP of his country.

"Despite being a very small country, we receive ten million tourists each year, but the number from India is not that big.

"Recently, many Croatian agencies are in touch with Indian counterparts to offer attractive packages," Suran said.

Describing Croatia as a "pocket-friendly paradise", he said the country, whose size is slightly bigger than Punjab, has "beautiful landscape".

"It is a must-see country," Suran added.
