    Elephant, mahout killed in accident

    Dibrugarh (Assam), Aug. 17 (PTI): An elephant and its mahout were killed when a railway pilot engine hit them while they were crossing the tracks at Chabua in Assam's Dibrugarh district.

    Officials here said the accident had occurred on Wednesday night.

    The mahout was identified as Johar Topu. The elephant belonged to a person from Borgaon village in the Makum area of neighbouring Tinsukia district.
