Karnataka to get 100 MW of power from Chhattisgarh
Bangalore (PTI): Power-starved Karnataka has been promised 100 megawatt of energy by the Chhattisgarh government.
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh met Karnataka Power Minister K S Eswarappa and gave an assurance to this effect, sources in Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Ltd (KPTCL) said.
Singh told Eswarappa that there is a huge demand in Chhattisgarh but will manage to supply 100 MW of power. Karnataka had sought 500 MW of energy to bridge the shortfall in demand and supply within the state.
Karnataka has also decided to resort to scheduled load-shedding from July 21.
