    AP assembly monsoon session ends

    Hyderabad (PTI): Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly and Council were on Saturday adjourned sine die, marking the end of the monsoon session.

    The Assembly session commenced on August 25 while the Council began its sitting the next day.

    The Assembly Deputy Speaker G Kuthuhalamma and Council Chairman A Chakrapani adjourned the Houses sine die. During the ten-day session, the two Houses passed 15 bills.

    For the first time in the state's Legislative history, no-confidence motion was moved against the Assembly Speaker K R Suresh Reddy by the main opposition TDP and Telangana Rashtra Samithi.

    A special one-day session of the Assembly will be held on September 15 to take up the no-trust motion.
