Jayalalithaa will decide on alliance partners: Vaiko

Coimbatore(PTI): Expressing confidence that the AIADMK-led alliance will sweep the Lok Sabha polls in Tamil Nadu, Marumlarchi DMK (MDMK) General Secretary Vaiko on Thursday said AIADMK leader J Jayalalithaa will decide on alliance partners.

Vaiko refused to comment on the expansion of the alliance and told reporters that the former chief minister would take a final decision about admitting alliance partners. "Though MDMK is an ally, I have a limited role in deciding the partners."

Replying to a question on the possible entry of PMK and Left parties into the alliance, Vaiko said Jayalalithaa had already given a 'broad hint' about the issue.

On party's stand, following BJP's reported move to align with the AIADMK, Vaiko said, "why should I react to speculation and hypothetical questions."
