    PULF militant surrenders in Manipur

Imphal (PTI): A district commander of militant outfit People's United Liberation Front (PULF) along with a huge cache of arms and ammunition has surrendered in Imphal, officials said on Thursday.

Md Zameer surrendered to the Border Security Force officers in the district along with a pistol, two magazines, one grenade and five live rounds of ammunition on November 30, officials said.

They said that laying down of arms by Zameer would help other militants to join the mainstream.

Zameer would be rehabilitated as per the rules of government's rehabilitation policy for surrendered militants, officials said.
