    41 children admitted to hospital after eating Jatropha seeds

    Korba (PTI): As many as 41 students of a primary school here fell ill after consuming Jatropha seeds in Jashpur district in Chhattisgarh, school authorities said on Wednesday.

    According to Shanti Singh, the headmistress of the school in Madanpur-Injko village, eight children began vomiting yesterday afternoon and the number went up to 41. All of them were rushed to a primary health centre (PHC), Singh said.

    The children told hospital authorities that they had eaten Jatropha seeds while on their way to school, Singh added.

    Meanwhile, PHC physician J Ming said that all children were out of danger and recuperating at the hospital.
