Dream of industrialsing Bengal still alive: Buddhadeb
Kolkata (PTI): Despite the exit of Tata Motors' small car Nano from Singur, the dream of industrialising West Bengal and creating employment were not shattered, West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee said on Saturday.
"I had a dream that 6,000 people will work in Tata Motors Nano project. The dreams were not shattered and everyone wants employment. I have learnt from experience and I will do whatever I can to change the situation," Mr. Bhattacharjee said while releasing a book on employment edited by Rabin Deb, CPI(M) leader and party's candidate from Kolkata South Lok Sabha seat.
According to him, Left Front government has taken steps to set up industries and was successful in increasing the income rural people.
Mr. Bhattacharjee said the problem of unemployment in the country has increased after every five-year plan.
