Kolkata (PTI): A section of Air India employees unions here on Friday staged a silent demonstration for two hours as part of its country-wide agitation against delay in salary payment.

About 120 employees affiliated to Air Corporation Employees Union (ACEU) and Aviation Industry Employees Guild (AIEG) took part in the demonstration between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m, union sources said.

The sources claimed that work was not affected during the demonstration which was held during lunch break when no take-off or landing was scheduled.

The employees are protesting against the delay in salary for the last month.
