    Rajasthan to have eight new national highways: Minister

    Kota (PTI): Rajasthan Minister of state for PWD Promod Jain Bhaya has said that the state will soon have eight new national highways and proposals to these have been forwarded to the union government recently.

    This proposal was likely to be accepted soon and work on these will commence immediately after Centre's clearance, he told a reporters here on Thursday.

    The minister said that under Prime Minister Rural Road Project, the state has forwarded proposals for construction of roads to Union Minister for Rural Development Dr CP Joshi who had given approval for this project in principle.

    The minister however, did not divulge the routes of new highways as the plan was underway.
