    United Biotech enters in-licensing agreement

    New Delhi, May 24 (PTI): Drug maker United Biotech today said it has enterd into an in-licensing deal with Italy's Kerdion to manufacture and market the company's plasma derivatives in India.

    As per the agreement, United Biotech would in-license Kerdion's blood plasma products - human albumin, intravenous immunoglobulin, hepatitis immunoglobulin and anti-d immunoglobulin, the company said in a statement.

    Blood plasma products are used by patients with immune system deficiencies, life threatening diseases and trauma.

    "This agreement represents a major validation of our commercial potential and also marks the achievement of our company's objective to in-license through strategic partnerships," United Biotech Vice-President Marketing R K Dewan said.
