Credit Suisse to open its second Indian CoE in Mumbai
Mumbai (PTI): Aiming to expand its Knowledge Process Outsourcing offering, Credit Suisse on Wednesday said that it will set up its second Centre of Excellence (CoE) in India in Mumbai which will be operational by September this year.
"The new CoE in Mumbai will enable the bank to expand its KPO offering and access the highly educated talent available in Mumbai," Credit Suisse's KPO Head Vineet Nagrani was quoted as saying in a company statement issued here.
The CoE would come up at Powai, a city suburb, and intially employ 150 people who would provide support to the front office business of the investment bank.
Credit Suisse opened its first CoE in Pune in 2007.This facility employs over 1,600 people who mainly provide IT support to the bank's operations throughout the world.
"The Mumbai CoE expands the bank's footprint here in India. Together with our Pune CoE, it will help us maximise the bank's resources, improve client services and ultimately enhance shareholder value," Credit Suisse's Head of CoE Jon Theuerkauf said.
Employees at the Powai CoE would be responsible for a full range of business functions from data gathering to investment analysis and risk & analytics modelling.
