Balanced approach can resolve endorsement issue: Lee

New Delhi, April 9 (PTI): Describing the curtailment on endorsements for Indian cricketers as a "repercussion of their World Cup flop show", Australian pacer, Brett Lee, today said the issue can be resolved only by taking a balanced view of the whole situation.

"I haven't really read a lot about the whole thing, but I guess after the disastrous World Cup that they had, India are going through a bit of a change and its part of the process," he told reporters today.

"The most important thing is cricket and their has to be a balance when it comes to advertising. Endorsements have never affected my performance, but (if we are asked to curtail the number of advertisements) I guess we will have to live with that," he added.

Lee said cricketers get advertising offers only if they play well and should remain focussed on their game. "You get endorsements only if you play good cricket. So that sums it all," he said.

Lee felt Indian cricket was strong enough to come out of the current crisis.

"I think Indian cricket will come out stronger after this because they have a very good team with some great individuals in their ranks," he said.
