Olympic Champion lifts team to gold at Chinese City Games

WUHAN (Xinhua): Olympic Champion Zhu Qinan lifted his team to the gold medal of the men's 50m three positions here on Tuesday at the Chinese City Games.

Zhu, 23, the world's top-ranked marksman in the air rifle event, had little fame in the three positions event. However, he collected 1,165 points here in the qualification round, one of his best performance and the third highest score of the day, to fulfill his wish to win a team title for his hometown Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province.

Zhu and his two teammates shot a combined score of 3,486 points to ensure the top position with two points ahead of Dalian team, Liaoning Province. The shooters from the host Wuhan, Hubei Province, took the bronze medal with a total of 3,479 points.
