Boxers return with two gold medals at Children of Asia Games

New Delhi (PTI): Indian boxers put up their best ever performance at the Children of Asia Games, clinching two gold and a bronze medal at the event in Russia.

Anil Kumar (60kg) and Vikas Yadav (54kg) claimed gold medals while Shiva Thapa won the bronze in the competition featuring 16 teams -- comprising 155 boxers -- near Moscow, Indian coach M S Dhaka said.

The Indians had sent an eight-member team for the Games where their previous best performance had been a couple of bronze medals last year.
