Karachi (PTI): The rebel Indian Cricket League is targetting three more Pakistani cricketers, who are active on the first-class circuit, as possible signings for their new season.

Knowledgeable sources told PTI that batsman Shahid Yousuf, all-rounder Tahir Mughal and wicket-keeper Hafiz Khalid were the three players who might sign up for ICL soon.

The ICL already has around 15 players from Pakistan on its payroll and last season while some of these players represented different sides in the Twenty20 competition, one a combined outfit 'Lahore Badshahs' led by former captain Inzamam-ul-Haq also featured in an event.

"These three new players have been approached by former captain Moin Khan on behalf of the ICL and offered good terms. Inzamam is also keen on having them," one source said.

Yousuf has been a leading run scorer on the domestic circuit and has played in a couple of side matches against touring teams and for Pakistan 'A' sides, while Mughal too is a prolific performer.

The ICL stunned the cricket community this week by signing around 13 Bangladesh players and there was more good news for the League when Sri Lankan Cricket Board said it would allow its rebel players to play domestic club cricket.

The announcement by Sri Lankan officials is a deviation from the policy of banning players from domestic cricket followed by all cricketing boards of the world since the ICL's launch.
