Hyderabad, March 13 (PTI): The Satyam Computers, global consulting and information technology services provider, on Monday joined Microsoft's Connected Services Sandbox, poised to help Telcos deliver next generation services.

In a statement here, Satyam said the programme is based on the Connected Services Framework (CSF), which provides a common, streamlined environment to facilitate rapid development of new services.

Satyam's role in the Sandbox will be one of unifications and it will bring together independent software vendors (ISVs), application developers, network equipment providers and telecom carriers for the on-boarding, deployment. It also provides new, value-added services for a "quad- play" delivery platform, it added.

"Satyam is committed to building exceptional solutions for next-generation telecommunications services," T R Anand, director and senior vice president in the organization's Telecom, Technical Infrastructure, Media and Entertainment, and Semiconductors (TIMES) division said.

He ascribed the partnership with Microsoft as an important milestone in their efforts to achieve those objectives.

The vice president of Satyam's Global Telecom Practice Dharmesh Syal said Satyam's Next -Generation portal solution will leverage the Sandbox and provide a pre-integrated, tested and centralised service portal infrastructure convergent services.
