    Seminar, exhibition to celebrate the invention of telescope

    Hyderabad (PTI): The State unit of Jana Vignana Vedika and Birla Science Centre is gearing up for two-day long activities to mark the quarter-centenary celebrations of invention of telescope by Galileo Galilei.

    A national seminar on International Year of Astronomy would be held on February 14 and a photo exhibition depicting evolution of telescope till date would be held on February 15, Prof B N Reddy of Osmania University, Prof K Venkateshwar Rao and T Rames, State Secretary of Jana Vignana Vedika said told reporters here.

    Similarly, another photo exhibition on seven wonders in sky would be held on the second day, they said.
