    Madhavan's "Evano Oruvan" to be screened in America, Middle East


    Madhavan's "Evano Oruvan" is, in his own words, something that has never been done before in Tamil Cinema. As producer with the Leukos Films banner, he hopes it will have the same success as the award-winning "Dombivili Fast" the Marathi origina l directed by Nishikanth Kamat.

    Chennai, October 4: R.Madhavan's production house is a self-confessed beehive of activity that is preparing to take "Evano Oruvan" to select centres in the United States and the Middle East for special screenings.

    "With my latest venture," says Maddy, "I am attempting something that has never been done before in Tamil cinema."

    The remake of "Dombivili Fast" the Marathi original that won 27 awards, is handled by the same director, Nishikanth Kamat.

    Playing the key roles in the film are Actors Seeman, Sangeetha and Baby Shruti. The project is slated for a December 7 release, but before that, there will be special screenings in Los Angeles (October 26), New York (Oct 27), Bahrain (November 6), Oman (November 7), Dubai (November 8), Qatar (November 11) and Abu Dhabi (November 12). These shows are sponsored by HSBC and Santoor.

    The film is, in Madhavan's view, one of his best till date and an almost exact remake of the Marathi original which was well received.

    Other credits for the venture are, Cinematography: Sanjay Jadhav, Title Song: G.V.Prakash, Background score: P.Sameer, Art: Nagu, Editing: Amit Pawar, Lyrics: Na Muthukumar, Dialogues: R.Madhavan, and dialogues supervision by Seeman, according to publicists Nikil CMG and PR Communications.
