Rourke says he did right by beating up drug dealer

London (IANS): Actor Mickey Rourke believes he did the right thing when he beat up his former wife's drug dealer.

Contactmusic.com reports that Rourke saw his then-addict wife getting heroin from the supplier and he beat him up.

He said: "I hit him harder than anybody in my life. He was out before he hit the ground. I hit an artery and there was a stream of blood that went 20 feet into the air."

This angered the producers of the movie he was working on.

He added: "I wasn't crazy about who I was working with. Already they were asking me, 'Are you going to be giving us trouble?', and it really p**sed me off."
