New York (IANS): Neil Patrick Harris, known for his role in How I Met Your Mother, will host this year's Emmy Awards. The actor-comedian is good at mimicry but doesn't know which voice he will use while conducting the ceremony.

Emmy bosses roped him in after watching him wow Broadway's finest at the Tony Awards in June, reports imdb.com.

"After having had such a hoot hosting the Tonys, I was thrilled to get the call about the prime-time Emmys. I'm looking forward to the challenge of the show - adding my own voice to it, while honouring the nominees and the entire year in television," said Harris.

"But which voice to choose? I'm torn between gangsta, foppish Brit, and robot. Really proud of my robot. We'll see what happens on the night," he added.

The ceremony will take place in Los Angeles on September 20.
